Tom Nicholson, Director, Passport Food Safety Solutions

Prior to Passport® Food Safety Solutions, Tom was commercial director for Elanco’s food-safety business, where he helped create the new business unit and developed and commercialized novel food-safety technologies for meat-protein production. Before that, Tom was vice president of Ivy Animal Health, where he led the sales and marketing team to become market leaders due to a robust benchmarking beef-production analytics system and consultation that became the industry standard. With 27 years of experience in the meat protein industry, Tom also worked for Syntex Animal Health and Pfizer Animal Health (now Zoetis). Jackson McReynolds
Jackson McReynolds, Ph.D., Director of Research & Development

Before co-founding Passport Food Safety Solutions, Jackson was a technical consultant for Elanco, helping beef and poultry customers reduce foodborne pathogens. He also developed procedures for applying bromide-based chemistries in processing plants, was lead scientist for developing Salmonella and E. coli phage technologies, and developed modeling systems to better understand foodborne pathogens throughout the production chain. Before that, Jackson was a research scientist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service, where his team earned a patent for high-energy electron beam irradiation for the production of immunomodulators in poultry. Jackson McReynolds
Matt Husman, Director of Sales

With more than 15 years of experience, Matt has built a career in food safety, working with organizations like Hy-Vee, Walmart and Corbion-Purac. He has a proven track record and wealth of knowledge in multiple segments of the food safety industry. As Vice President of Sales, Matt has responsibility for providing leadership in supporting the growth of current and future products and creating value for Passport’s customers throughout North America. Justin Reber
Helena Pelegrini Nogueira, Commercial Manager, Latin America

In her role, Helena is providing leadership in gaining regulatory approvals for food safety technologies and building a commercial team that will expand the Passport Food Safety Solutions footprint in targeted Latin American countries. Prior to joining Passport Food Safety Solutions, Helena gained more than 15 years of experience working with domestic and multinational companies in food safety and energy. Jackson McReynolds
John Ruby, Ph.D., Director, Passtrac Analytics

Prior to joining Passport, John spent 17 years with the JBS Beef Division overseeing Food Safety and Quality. Over the course of John’s career, he held positions as Laboratory Services Manager, Director of Microbiology, and Vice President of Technical Services. John has served on the North American Meat Institute Foundation - Board of Directors, the Meat Industry International Stewardship Advisory Council and the University of Georgia-Department of Food Science and Technology Advisory Committee. In addition, John served an appointment on the U.S. Department of Agriculture National Advisory Committee on Microbiological Criteria for Foods, as well as serving as an Affiliate Faculty member for Colorado State University’s Department of Animal Sciences. He earned his Ph.D. in Food Microbiology and Safety from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where his research focused on developing prediction tools for identifying the presence/absence of Salmonella spp. and microbial intervention systems designed to reduce E. coli O157:H7 and multi-drug resistant Salmonella spp. John can be reached by email or 970-371-3644.
